Stars & Snakes: A Thelemite’s Field Notes

Right in time for the Equinox and the new Thelemic Year, I’m excited to officially announce the release of Stars & Snakes: A Thelemite’s Field Notes, the first title from my new independent publishing venture Chnoubis Imprint!

A quick clarification: this new project doesn’t change anything about my ongoing work with Watkins.

I’m still very much engaged with them, and they’ll be publishing what I consider my second proper “full” book this November, as already announced. Think of Stars & Snakes as something more like Book 1.5, a way for me to publish all the essays, reflections, critiques, and occasional rants that wouldn’t necessarily fit the commercial criteria of a traditional publisher. It’s raw, unfiltered, and very much an honest snapshot of my evolving thoughts on Thelema, magick, and occulture.

The early steps of Chnoubis Imprint

This is something I’ve been building toward since last December, when I first experimented with self-publishing by releasing Dracula: New Aeon Edition via my Chnoubis Imprint.

That experience taught me something crucial: the first month of sales is everything when it comes to getting a self-published title noticed. Early momentum plays a huge part in convincing Amazon’s algorithms to give a book more visibility.

So, if you'd like to support my work, picking up a copy now makes the biggest impact:

Even more important, though, are reviews. If you've followed me on Substack, you've already read most of the content in this book (albeit edited and polished for publication). So once your copy arrives, you can leave a review straight away. Reviews mean far more for self-published books than traditionally published ones—it’s the main thing that helps spread the word.

Thanks, as always, for your support.

This is just the beginning.
